 AS THE REVIEW HAD BEEN STARTED IN ERROR, THE INITIAL
 OBSERVATIONS ARE BEING PASSED AS A COURTESY:
  
 1) TIMOTHY MESSLER, P.E., STATES IN HIS LETTER THAT
 EXHIBIT C IS A PRODUCT APPROVAL (NOA# 14-0303.07) FOR A
 DOOR OF SIMILAR CONSTRUCTION. THAT IS NOT CORRECT, AS
 THAT DOOR IS 2.835 INCHES THICK AND IS MADE FROM
 MAHOGANY, WHILE THE PROPOSED DOOR IS 1.75 INCHES THICK
 AND SPECIFIED AS SOUTHERN FIR. PLEASE PROVIDE AN
 ALTERNATE PRODUCT APPROVAL TO SUPPORT YOUR
 COMPARISON/RATIONAL ANALYSIS. ALSO THE DOOR IN THE
 PRODUCT APPROVAL HAS APPROVED CONFIGURATIONS THAT
 INCLUDE EITHER SIDE LIGHTS OR A TRANSOM, WHILE THE
 PROPOSED DOOR HAS BOTH AND THE ENGINEER HAS PROVIDED NO
 STATEMENT REGARDING THAT DIFFERENCE IN CONFIGURATION.
  
 2) EXHIBIT A AND B STATE THE THICKNESS OF THE PROPOSED
 DOOR AS 1.75 INCHES, BUT THEY DO NOT STATE THE
 THICKNESS OF THE DOOR FRAME AND SIDE LIGHT FRAME
 MEMBERS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO SPAN VERTICALLY FROM THE
 THRESHOLD UP TO THE LINTEL/HEADER. NO COMPARISON WITH A
 PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR A DOOR OF SIMILAR CONSTRUCTION CAN
 BE PERFORMED WITHOUT KNOWING THE THICKNESS OF THOSE
 FRAME MEMBERS.
  
 3) THE SUBMITTED COPY OF THE PRODUCT APPROVAL IS
 MISSING DRAWING SHEETS 5, 6, 10, AND 11.
  
 4) THE SUBMITTED COPY OF THE PRODUCT APPROVAL IS HARDLY
 LEGIBLE AS IT HAS BEEN PRINTED REDUCED SCALE SO THAT
 FOUR 8.5 X 11 PAGES FIT ON ONE 8.5 X 11 SHEET
  
 THE REVIEW WAS NOT COMPLETED DUE TO NON-PAYMENT OF
 FEES.
