 1) PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL OF THE
 WINDOWS AND DOORS THAT WERE INSTALLED WITHOUT PERMITS
 OR INSPECTIONS AND ALL OF THE ONES THAT ARE PROPOSED TO
 BE INSTALLED. SOME OF THE MIAMI DADE NOAS THAT WERE
 SUBMITTED FOR THE DOORS AND WINDOWS WERE EXPIRED, BUT
 HAVE CURRENT NOAS FOR THE SAME PRODUCT. THE NEW NOAS
 WERE PRINTED AND ATTACHED TO THE OLD ONES FOR THESE
 PRODUCTS. IF THERE IS NOT A CURRENT PRODUCT APPROVAL
 FOR THE ITEM AND YOU CAN LOCATE AN EXPIRED ONE, YOU
 HAVE THE OPTION OF APPLYING FOR A LOCAL PRODUCT
 APPROVAL BY SUBMITTING TWO SETS OF THE EXPIRED PRODUCT
 APPROVAL ALONG WITH A SIGNED AND SEALED RATIONAL
 ANALYSIS SHOWING THAT THE PRODUCT COMPLIES WITH THE
 2010 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PRODUCT
 FOR REVIEW BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. ANOTHER OPTION
 WOULD BE TO REMOVE THE WINDOW OR DOOR AND REPLACE IT
 WITH ONE THAT HAS A CURRENT PRODUCT APPROVAL MEETING
 THE WIND PRESSURES AND AND IMPACT REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 2010 FBC, THE STRUCTURAL INSPECTOR WILL VERIFY IN THE
 FIELD THAT THE PRODUCTS AND INSTALLATIONS COMPLY WITH
 THE PRODUCT APPROVALS AND THE BUILDING CODES.

 1) SMOKE ALARMS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL 3 DWELLING UNITS.
 R314.3.1 ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS.
 WHEN ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A
 PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE
 ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL
 DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS
 LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS.
  
 2) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS AS REQUIRED
 BY DCA RULE 9N-3 FOR THE NEW SLIDING GLASS DOORS AND
 STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS.
  
 3) THE PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. CITY
 AMENDMENTS 107.2.1
  
 4) SPECIFY THE WATER PROOFING SYSTEM (SUBMIT 2 COPIES
 OF PRODUCT APPROVALS) THAT WILL BE USED ON THE BALCONY
 AND PROVIDE A WALL TO DECK FLASHING DETAIL. CITY

 5) THE ELEVATIONS OF THE REAR BUILDING ON SHEET A-6 OF
 THE PLANS SHOW A PARTIALLY ENCLOSED PORCH THAT APPEARS
 TO BE CANTILEVERED. HAVE THIS CONDITION EVALUATED BY AN
 ENGINEER AND SUBMIT A SIGNED AND SEALED LETTER STATING
 THAT IT'S CONSTRUCTION WILL SAFELY SUPPORT ALL LIVE
 LOADS, DEAD LOADS, FLOOR LOADS, ROOF LOADS AND WIND

 7) THERE IS NO TIE BEAM WITH HORIZONTAL REINFORCEMENT
 SHOWN AT THE TOP OF THE 8" BLOCK RETAINING WALL IN
 DETAIL 6 ON SHEET S-1. PLEASE CLARIFY. FBC R404
  
 8) THE REPAIRED WALLS AND CEILINGS FORMING THE BUILDING
 ENVELOPE SHALL BE INSULATED AND THE REPLACED COMPONENTS
 (SUCH AS WATER HEATERS) ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH
 CHAPTER 402 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE ENERGY
 CONSERVATION.
  
 9) HOW WILL THE FOUNDATION WALLS AND CONCRETE FLOOR
 SLAB BE WATER-PROOFED TO PREVENT THE EXCAVATED AREAS
