 1) SHEET A1.1AND FP1 INDICATE (3) NEW FRENCH DOORS AND
 SIDE LIGHTS WITH THE USE OF A WATER CURTAIN ON BOTH
 SIDES OF THE UNITS. 2010 FBC-B 404.6 EXCEPTION # 1 DOES
 ALLOW THE USE OF A WATER CURTAIN FOR THE FIXED GLASS
 SIDELIGHTS IF THERE ARE NO HORIZONTAL MULLIONS THAT
 WOULD INTERFERE WITH THE WETTING THE COMPLETE SURFACE
 OF THE GLASS. THE ELEVATIONS PROVIDED DO SHOW THE USE
 OF HORIZONTAL MULLIONS THAT DEVERTS THE WATER CURTAIN
 FROM COMPLETELY COVERING THE GLASS.
 THE SECOND ISSUE WITH THE NEW GLAZED FRENCH DOOR
 OPENINGS, THE PLANS DO NOT PROVIDE A RATING OF THE
 DOOR. A WATER CURTAIN ONLY WORKS FOR WINDOWS, NOT
 DOORS. ANY DOORS THROUGH THE REQUIRED 1-HOUR FIRE
 BARRIER WALL MUST BE 3/4 HOUR RATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 2010 FBC-B TABLE 715.4.

 SHEET A1.1: THE EXISTING COMMON CORRIDOR (LEADING TO
 THE STAIR) IS SHOWN AS BEING ELIMINATED. INDICATE THE
 PATHS OF TRAVEL TO THE STAIR AND THE LOCATIONS OF EXIT
 SIGNS FOR OCCUPANTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF SUITE #200.
  
 SHEET A1.1: HORIZONTAL WINDOW MULLIONS ARE NOT
 PERMITTED AS THEY WILL PREVENT THE ENTIRE OF SURFACE OF
 THE GLASS FROM BEING EVENLY WET BY AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER
 DISCHARGE. DOORS SHALL BE SUCH THAT RESIST THE PASSAGE
 OF SMOKE AND ARE SELF-CLOSING OR AUTOMATIC CLOSING.
  
 A PORTION OF FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE SECTION 8.6.7
 (ATRIUMS) READS AS FOLLOWS:
 GLASS WALLS AND INOPERABLE WINDOWS SHALL BE PERMITTED
 IN LIEU OF THE FIRE BARRIERS WHERE ALL THE FOLLOWING
 ARE MET:
 I. AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS ARE SPACED ALONG BOTH SIDES OF
 THE GLASS WALL AND THE INOPERABLE WINDOWS AT INTERVALS
 NOT TO EXCEED 6 FEET.
 II. THE AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS SPECIFIED IN
 8.6.7(1)(C)(I) ARE LOCATED AT A DISTANCE FROM THE GLASS
 WALL NOT TO EXCEED 12 INCHES AND ARRANGED SO THAT THE
 ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE GLASS IS WET UPON OPERATION OF
 THE SPRINKLERS.
 III.THE GLASS WALL IS OF TEMPERED, WIRED, OR LAMINATED
 GLASS HELD IN PLACE BY A GASKET SYSTEM THAT ALLOWS THE
 GLASS FRAMING SYSTEM TO DEFLECT WITHOUT BREAKING
 (LOADING) THE GLASS BEFORE THE SPRINKLERS OPERATE.
 IV. THE AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS REQUIRED BY 8.6.7(1)(C)(I)
 ARE NOT REQUIRED ON THE ATRIUM SIDE OF THE GLASS WALL
 AND THE INOPERABLE WINDOW WHERE THERE IS NO WALKWAY OR
 OTHER FLOOR AREA ON THE ATRIUM SIDE ABOVE THE MAIN
 FLOOR LEVEL.
 V. DOORS IN THE GLASS WALLS ARE OF GLASS OR OTHER
 MATERIAL THAT RESISTS THE PASSAGE OF SMOKE.
 VI. DOORS IN THE GLASS WALLS ARE SELF-CLOSING OR
 AUTOMATIC-CLOSING UPON DETECTION OF SMOKE.
 VII. THE GLASS IS CONTINUOUS VERTICALLY, WITHOUT
 HORIZONTAL MULLIONS, WINDOW TREATMENTS, OR OTHER
 OBSTRUCTIONS THAT WOULD INTERFERE WITH THE WETTING OF
 THE ENTIRE GLASS SURFACE.
  
 SHEET E.2: INDICATE IF THE USE OF THE NEW SMOKE
 DETECTORS ARE FOR AUTOMATIC DOOR RELEASE.
  
 SHEET E.2: CONFIRM THAT OPERATION OF THE AUTOMATIC
 SPRINKLER SYSTEM WILL ACTIVATE THE ATRIUM'S ENGINEERED
 SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEM.
  
 SHEET FP1: THE PROPOSED STOREFRONT GLAZING SYSTEM
 APPEARS TO INCORPORATE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL MULLIONS
 THAT WILL PREVENT THE ENTIRE GLASS SURFACES TO BE WET
