 1) PLEASE PROVIDE THE TOTAL DISTANCE FROM THE FURTHEST
 POINT IN THE BASEMENT TO THE FRONT DOOR EXIT, FBC-B
 TABLE 1021.2 FOOTNOTE "D" ALLOWS 100 FEET.
 THE MEASUREMENT ALONG STAIRWAYS SHALL BE MADE ON A
 PLANE PARALLEL AND TANGENT TO THE STAIR TREAD NOSING IN
 THE CENTER OF THE STAIRWAY.
  
 2) ONE ISSUE WITH THE SINGLE EXIT AND UNENCLOSED STAIRS
 IS NOTIFICATION IF THERE IS A FIRE ON THE FIRST FLOOR
 (GRADE) AND THE OCCUPANTS IN THE BASEMENT LEVEL NOT
 HAVING NOTIFICATION GIVING THEM TIME TO EXIT THE
 BUILDING. PLEASE PROVIDE SMOKE ALARM ON THE FIRST FLOOR
 (GRADE) LEVEL THAT WILL NOTIFY THE OCCUPANTS IN THE
 BASEMENT IN THE EVENT OF SMOKE/ FIRE. 2010 FBC-B
 907.1.1 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 FOR FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS SHALL BE OF SUFFICIENT CLARITY
 TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE WORK
 PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT WILL CONFORM TO THE
 PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE, THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION
 CODE, AND RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND

 OCCUPANCY), "FLOORS THAT ARE BELOW THE STREET FLOOR AND
 ARE USED FOR STORAGE OR OTHER THAN A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY
 SHALL HAVE NO UNPROTECTED OPENINGS TO BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCY FLOORS.
