 1) SHEET A-1 & LS-1 INDICATE THE OCCUPANCY AS A
 BUSINESS OCCUPANCY, THIS IS CORRECT FOR EDUCATIONAL
 USAGE ABOVE THE 12TH GRADE. WHERE WE DISAGREE IS HOW WE
 DETEWRMINE THE OCCUPANT LOAD. THE CODE COMMENTARY IN
 REGARDS TO FBC-B TABLE 1004.1.1 INDICATES THAT ALTHOUGH
 THIS IS CLASSIFIED AS A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY WE STILL GO
 TO TABLE 1004.1 FOR THE INTENDED USAGE. I BELIEVE THE
 OPEN LAB SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH THE SQUARE FOOTAGE FOR
 SHOPS AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING ROOMS OR (50 NET), THIS
 ROOM IS APPROX 600 SQ FT OR AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF
 13OCCUPANTS THE OTHER AREA OF DISCREPANCY IS THE
 RESOURCE ROOM WHICH IS SIMILAR USAGE TO THAT OF A
 LIBRARY READING ROOM (50 NET) THE ROOM SIZE BEING
 APPROX. 507 SQ FT OR AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 11.
  
 THE BREAK ROOM AND STUDENT LOUNGE AREAS SHOULD BE TAKEN
 AT 15 SQ FT PER OCCUPANT (NET) AND THE OFFICES AS 100
 SQ FT PER OCCUPANT.(GROSS) PER TABLE 1004.1.1. THE NET
 CALCULATION ALLOWS THE DESIGNER TO FIGURE THE OCCUPANT
 LOAD TO THE ACTUAL OCCUPIED FLOOR AREAS. THE AREAS USED
 FOR PERMANENT BUILDING COMPONENTS, SUCH AS WALLS, FIXED
 EQUIPMENT, THICKNESSES OF WALLS, CORRIDORS, RESTROOMS,
 MECHANICAL ROOMS, AND CLOSETS, IS NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN
 NET FLOOR AREA, SEE 2010 CODE COMMENTARY UNDER TABLE
 1004.1.1.
  
 PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TOTAL OCCUPANT LOAD MAY STILL BE
 ABOVE 49 OCCUPANTS WHEN THE NET AREAS REDUCED AREAS ARE
 REMOVED FROM THE EQUATION. IF SO THEN TWO REMOTE EGRESS
 OPENINGS WILL BE REQUIRED PER 2010 FBC-B TABLE 1015.1
 AND 1015.2.1 DOORWAYS TO BE 1/3 THE DIAGONAL DISTANCE
 APART.
  
 2) PLANS DO NOT INDICATE SIZE OF ROOMS OR DISTANCES
 BETWEEN WALLS. THERE ARE TWO ISSUES WITH THIS, IT
 APPEARS THAT THE BREAK ROOM MAY NOT BE ACCESSIBLE THE
 OPENING INTO THE BREAK ROOM MAY NOT BE WIDE ENOUGH NOR
 TTHE OPENING THAT LEADS FROM THE FRONT ENTRY INTO THE
 HALLWAY NOR THE HALLWAY THAT LEADS INTO THE BREAKROOM
 OR STUDENT LOUNGE. ACCESSIBILITY CODE 403.5.1.
  
 3) PLANS DO NOT INDICATE SIZE OF ROOMS OR DISTANCES
 BETWEEN WALLS. THERE ARE TWO ISSUES WITH THIS, IT
 APPEARS THAT THE BREAK ROOM MAY NOT BE ACCESSIBLE THE
 OPENING INTO THE BREAK ROOM MAY NOT BE WIDE ENOUGH NOR
 TTHE OPENING THAT LEADS FROM THE FRONT ENTRY INTO THE
 HALLWAY NOR THE HALLWAY THAT LEADS INTO THE BREAKROOM
 OR STUDENT LOUNGE. ACCESSIBILITY CODE 403.5.1.
  
 4) SHEET A-1 INDICATES TTHE USE OF A FIRE WALL, A FIRE
 WALL IS EITHER A 3 HOUR OR 4 HOUR WALL THAT SEPERATES
 BUILDINGS,IS THE CORRECT TERM TO BE "FIRE PARTITION"
 WHICH IS A TENANT SEPERATION WALL, 709.1.6..
  
 5) 2010 FBC-B 712.6 FIRE WALLS, FIRE BARRIERS, FIRE
 PARTITIONS, SMOKE BARRIERS AND SMOKE PARTITIONS OR ANY
 OTHER WALL REQUIRED TO HAVE PROTECTED OPENINGS SHALL BE
 EFFECTIVELY AND PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED WITH SIGNS OR
 STENCILING IN A MANNER ACCEPTABLE TO THE AUTHORITY
 HAVING JURISDICTION. SUCH IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE ABOVE
 ANY DECORATIVE CEILING AND IN CONCEALED SPACES.
 SUGGESTED WORDING FOR FIRE AND SMOKE BARRIERS: "FIRE
 AND SMOKE BARRIER - PROTECT ALL OPENINGS."

 IN ADDITION TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, THE DESIGN
 SHALL CONFORM TO THE 2010 EDITION OF THE FLORIDA FIRE
 PREVENTION CODE WHICH CONTAINS THE FLORIDA 2009 EDITION
 OF NFPA 1 AND NFPA 101.
  
 ALL DEMOLITION WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF NFPA 241. TRASH AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS SHALL BE
 REMOVED FROM THE SITE DAILY. POST "NO SMOKING" SIGNS IN
 CONSTRUCTION AREA.
  
 PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR KEY SAFE TO ALLOW EMERGENCY
 RESPONDERS NON-FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THE BUILDING DURING
 NON-BUSINESS HOURS. A KEY SAFE CAN BE ORDERED FROM

 THE SUITE IS FUNCTIONING AS A MIXED-USE, NON-SEPARATED
 OCCUPANCY. THE MIXED-USE (BUSINESS, ASSEMBLY,
 EDUCATION) OCCUPANCIES SHALL HAVE THE MEANS OF EGRESS,
 PROTECTION, AND OTHER SAFEGUARDS IN THE BUILDING THAT
