 ADDRESSING POLICY UNDER SECTION 1.3:
  
 ALL RESIDENTIAL UNITS & HABITABLE STRUCTURES (SUCH AS A
 BUSINESS LOCATED ON A PARCEL) WILL BE ISSUED A UNIQUE
 ADDRESS NUMBER. ADDITIONS TO THE PRIMARY HOUSE NUMBERS,
 SUCH AS "1/2" ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED. ONE PRIMARY NUMBER
 SHALL BE ASSIGNED TO EACH STRUCTURE OR UNIT. EACH UNIT
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL BE ASSIGNED A UNIQUE ADDRESS
 OR UNIT DESIGNATOR SUCH AS "SUITE" (IF ADDRESSING
 NUMBERS ARE NOT AVAILABLE). ALLOWED UNIT DESIGNATORS
 INCLUDE APARTMENT (APT) NUMBERS FOR APARTMENTS, AND
 SUITE, BAY, UNIT (STE, OR BAY, OR UNIT) NUMBERS FOR
 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS. THE UNIT DESIGNATOR SHALL BE

 BEING PHASED OUT OVER TIME. OURS & THE COUNTY'S
 DATABASE SYSTEMS CANNOT HANDLE THESE FRACTIONAL
 CHARACTERS & UNFORTUNATELY, THEY MAY CAUSE DELAYS IN
 EMERGENCY RESPONSE TIMES. AS A RESULT, I HAVE NOTIFED
 THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, KEVIN LAVINE IN CHARGE OF
 THIS PARTICULAR ZONE. ALSO, IN AN ATTEMPT TO TRY TO
 EXPEDITE THE PROCESS, I E-MAILED THE ADDRESSING CHANGE
 NOTICE TO THE CONTRACTOR, BILL GOBLE JR.

 ENCLOSED DETAILS SPECIFYING THE ADDRESSING CHARACTER

 CODE OF ORDINANCE SEC. 78-6. NUMBERING
 STANDARDS--RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL AND
 INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURES- FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE
 ADDRESS SIGN:
  
 THE ADDRESS SIGN SHALL BE POSTED ON THAT PORTION OF THE
 STRUCTURE FRONTING OR FACING UPON THE STREET OR
 PRINCIPAL VEHICULAR ACCESS TO THE PREMISES, SO AS TO BE
 READILY VISIBLE TO APPROACHING VEHICLES.
  
 ALL RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, OR
 INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURES UTILIZING ADDRESSES WITHIN THE
 CITY SHALL POST ADDRESS CHARACTERS IN COMPLIANCE WITH
 THIS SECTION AS FOLLOWS:
  
 (1) SIZE AND TYPE. ALL ADDRESS CHARACTERS SHALL BE
 ARABIC NUMERALS, EXCEPT THAT ENGLISH LETTERS MAY BE
 USED TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL UNITS ALL POSSESSING THE
 SAME NUMERIC ADDRESS, WHERE APPLICABLE. ALL CHARACTERS
 ON SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES, DUPLEXES AND "MOTHER-IN-LAW
 SUITES" SHALL BE NO LESS THAN THREE INCHES IN HEIGHT
 AND ONE INCH IN WIDTH. ALL CHARACTERS ON BUILDINGS
 OTHER THAN SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES AND DUPLEXES SHALL BE NO
 LESS THAN SIX INCHES IN HEIGHT AND ONE INCH IN WIDTH.
  
 (2) LOCATION, BUILDINGS CONTAINING MORE THAN ONE
 ADDRESS. ALL ADDRESSES SHALL BE POSTED ON THAT PORTION
 OF THE STRUCTURE FRONTING OR FACING UPON THE STREET OR
 PRINCIPAL VEHICULAR ACCESS TO THE PREMISES, SO AS TO BE
 READILY VISIBLE TO APPROACHING VEHICLES. OWNERS OR
 TENANTS OF ALL HOUSES AND BUILDINGS USING A SERVICE
 ALLEY SHALL ALSO POST A NUMBER ON THE SIDE OF THE
 BUILDINGS ADJACENT TO AND FACING SUCH ALLEY. IF THE
 HOUSE OR BUILDING IS OBSTRUCTED BY A FENCE, THEN THE
 NUMBER SHALL BE POSTED ON THE FENCE. THE PLACEMENT OF
 NUMBERS ON BUILDINGS OR FENCES, AS THE CASE MAY BE,
 SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE DIRECTION OR APPROVAL OF THE
 CITY'S CONSTRUCTION SERVICES DEPARTMENT. BUILDINGS
 WHICH CONTAIN MORE THAN ONE RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL,
 INDUSTRIAL, OR INSTITUTIONAL ADDRESS SHALL POST A
 SEPARATE ADDRESS MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS
 SECTION AT THE EXTERIOR ENTRANCE TO EACH INDIVIDUAL
 ADDRESS OR COMMON EXTERIOR ENTRANCE TO SEVERAL
 ADDRESSES THEREIN, AND THE UNIT NUMBER SHALL ALSO BE
 POSTED ON THE EXTERIOR DOOR OF EACH UNIT SERVED BY SUCH
 A COMMON EXTERIOR ENTRANCE.
  
 (3) MONUMENT SIGNS. ALL MONUMENT SIGNS FOR MULTIPLE
 RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, OR INSTITUTIONAL
 DEVELOPMENTS SHALL POST THE ADDRESS RANGE FOR THE
 DEVELOPMENT. THE POSTED ADDRESS RANGE SHALL MEET THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.
  
 (4) COLOR OF CHARACTERS. ALL ADDRESS CHARACTERS SHALL
 BE OF A COLOR IN DIRECT CONTRAST TO AND CLEARLY
 DISTINGUISHABLE FROM THE BACKGROUND TO WHICH THE
 CHARACTERS ARE AFFIXED.
  
 (5) ADDRESSES TO BE CLEARLY VISIBLE FROM THE STREET.
 EACH ADDRESS UPON THE EXTERIOR OF ANY BUILDING SHALL BE
 CLEARLY VISIBLE FROM THE STREET OR OTHER PRINCIPAL
 MEANS OF VEHICULAR ACCESS. LANDSCAPING SHALL NOT BE
 PERMITTED TO COVER OR CONCEAL ADDRESSES. NIGHTTIME
 LIGHTING SHALL BE LOCATED SO AS TO MAXIMIZE VISIBILITY
 OF ADDRESSES.
  
 (6) CORRECTNESS. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
 PROPERTY OWNER OF ANY STRUCTURE OR BUILDING SUBJECT TO
 THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION TO POST THE CORRECT
 ADDRESS ON THE PROPERTY.
  
 (7) RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE. THE OWNER OF ANY
 STRUCTURE OR BUILDING SUBJECT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
 THIS SECTION SHALL MAINTAIN, REPAIR OR REPLACE ALL
 ADDRESSES WHEN NECESSARY TO COMPLY WITH THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

 WOULD BE CONVENIENT FOR HIM, IN ORDER FOR ME TO PROCEED
 WITH OFFICIALLY CHANGING THE SECONDARY ADDRESS FROM 530
 1/2 TO 532 39TH ST. MR. WOLFE EVENTUALLY CALLED ME BACK
 & ALLOWED ME TO PROCEED WITH THE SECONDARY ADDRESSING
 CHANGE IMMEDIATELY. THEREFORE, I CHANGED THE STATUS OF
 PERMIT FROM "FAILED" TO "PASSED" & RE-REFERENCED IT TO
 THE NEW SECONDARY ADDRESS OF 532 39TH ST (PLEASE UPDATE
 IT ON THE ORIGINAL PERMIT APPLICATION.).
