 2) PLEASE PROVIDE THE CALCULATIONS FOR THE ADDITIONAL
 LOADING OF THE TWIN T'S IF THE DESIGN CRITERIA USED IS

 2007/09 FBC-B 1713.1 GENERAL. WHENEVER THERE IS A
 REASONABLE DOUBT AS TO THE STABILITY OR LOAD-BEARING
 CAPACITY OF A COMPLETED BUILDING, STRUCTURE OR PORTION
 THEREOF FOR THE EXPECTED LOADS, AN ENGINEERING
 ASSESSMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED. THE ENGINEERING
 ASSESSMENT SHALL INVOLVE EITHER A STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
 OR AN IN-SITU LOAD TEST, OR BOTH. THE STRUCTURAL
 ANALYSIS SHALL BE BASED ON ACTUAL MATERIAL PROPERTIES
 AND OTHER AS-BUILT CONDITIONS THAT AFFECT STABILITY OR
 LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY, AND SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE DESIGN STANDARD. IF THE
 STRUCTURAL ASSESSMENT DETERMINES THAT THE LOAD-BEARING
 CAPACITY IS LESS THAN THAT REQUIRED BY THE CODE, LOAD
 TESTS SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
 1713.2. IF THE BUILDING, STRUCTURE OR PORTION THEREOF
 IS FOUND TO HAVE INADEQUATE STABILITY OR LOAD-BEARING
 CAPACITY FOR THE EXPECTED LOADS, MODIFICATIONS TO
 ENSURE STRUCTURAL ADEQUACY OR THE REMOVAL OF THE
 INADEQUATE CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REQUIRED.
  
 2007/09 FBC-B 110.4.2 STORAGE & FACTORY- INDUSTRIAL
 OCCUPANCIES. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
 OWNER, AGENT, PROPIETOR OR OCCUPANT OF GROUP S AND
 GROUP F OCCUPANCIES, OR ANY OCCUPANCY WHERE EXCESSIVE
 FLOOR LOADING IS LIKELY TO OCCUR, TO EMPLOY A COMPETENT
 ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER IN COMPUTING THE SAFE FLOOR LOAD
 CAPACITY. ALL SUCH COMPUTATIONS SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY
 AN AFFADAVIT FROM THE ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER STATING THE
 SAFE ALLOWABLE FLOOR LOADS ON EACH FLOOR IN POUNDS PER
 SQ FT.THE COMPUTATIONS & AFFADAVIT SHALL BE FILED AS A
 PERMANENT RECORD OF THE BLDG DEPT.
  
 3) 110.4.3.SIGNS REQUIRED. IN EVERY BUILDING OR PART OF
 A BUILDING USED FOR STORAGE, INDUSTRIAL OR HAZARDOUS
 PURPOSES, THE SAFE FLOOR LOADS, AS REVIEWED BY THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL ON THE PLAN, SHALL BE MARKED ON
 PLATES OF APPROVED DE SIGN WHICH SHALL BE SUPPLIED &
 SECURELY AFFIXED BY THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING IN A
 CONSPICUOUS PLACE IN EACH STORY TO WHICH THEY RELATE.
 SUCH PLATES SHALL NOT BE REMOVED OR DEFACED, & IF LOST,
 REMOVED THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING SHALL REPLACE THEM.
  
 4) PLEASE REVIEW 2007/09 FBC-B AREA LIMITATIONS 505.2
 FOR MEZZANINES. THE PROPOSED MEZZANINE EXCEEDS THE 1/3
 LIMIT OF ROOM SIZE, PLEASE NOTE WHEN CALCULATING THE
 TOTAL ROOM SIZE THE ENCLOSED PORTION OF A ROOM SHALL
 NOT BE INCLUDED IN A DETERMINATION OF THE FLOOR AREA OF
 THE ROOM IN WHICH THE MEZZANINE IS LOCATED. IN
 DETERMINING THE ALLOWABLE MEZZANINE AREA, THE AREA OF
 THE MEZZANINE SHALL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE FLOOR AREA
 OF THE ROOM. THE MEZZANINE LEVEL WILL NEED TO BE
 RECDUCED IN SIZE TO CONFORM TO THE DEFINITION OF
 MEZZANINE OR THIS AREA TO BE CONSIDERED A SECOND FLOOR
 WITH THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS NEEDING TO ALSO CONFORM TO
 A SECOND FLOOR. SEE FBC-B 1020.1 AND EXCEPTIONS.
  
 5) PLEASE REVIEW COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL PER SECTION:
 2007/09 FBC-B COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL 1014.3(7) THE
 COMMON PATH OF EGRESS TRAVEL IN OCCUPANCIES IN GROUP F
 AND S SHALL BE 50 FEET (15 240 MM) IN UNSPRINKLERED
 BUILDINGS.
  
 6) DEPENDING ON THE MINIMUM BUILDING TYPE THE STAIR
 FRAMING SHALL BE THE SAME TYPE AS MINIMUM BUILDING
 TYPE. 1009.5 STAIRWAY CONSTRUCTION. ALL STAIRWAYS SHALL
 BE BUILT OF MATERIALS CONSISTENT WITH THE TYPES
 PERMITTED FOR THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE BUILDING,
 EXCEPT THAT WOOD HANDRAILS SHALL BE PERMITTED FOR ALL
 TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION.
  
 7) GUARDS FOR F OR S OCCUPANCIES CAN HAVE HORIZONTAL
 INTERMEDIATE RAILS OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION SHALL NOT
 PERMIT A SPHERE WITH A DIAMETER OF 21 INCHES (533 MM)
 TO PASS THROUGH ANY OPENING AS PER 1013.3 EXCEPTION #
 3. PLEASE PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH 1607.7.1 HANDRAILS
 AND GUARDS. HANDRAIL ASSEMBLIES AND GUARDS SHALL BE
 DESIGNED TO RESIST A LOAD OF 50 PLF (0.73 KN/M) APPLIED
 IN ANY DIRECTION AT THE TOP AND TO TRANSFER THIS LOAD
 THROUGH THE SUPPORTS TO THE STRUCTURE. GLASS HANDRAIL
 ASSEMBLIES AND GUARDS SHALL ALSO COMPLY WITH SECTION
 2407.
 EXCEPTIONS: (2). IN GROUP I-3, F, H AND S OCCUPANCIES,
 FOR AREAS THAT ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC
 AND THAT HAVE AN OCCUPANT LOAD LESS THAN 50, THE
 MINIMUM LOAD SHALL BE 20 POUNDS PER FOOT (0.29 KN/M).
  
 8) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. THE ACTUAL
 PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT OFFICE, AND
 A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE PERMIT

 PER SECTION 40.2.4.1.2 (NFPA 101) A SINGLE MEANS OF
 EGRESS FROM ANY STORY IS ONLY PERMITTED IN AN
 UNSPRINKLERED INDUSTRIAL OCCUPANCY WHEN THE EXIT CAN BE
 REACHED WITHIN 50 FEET OF TRAVEL; OTHERWISE, A
 FIRE-RATED STAIR ENCLOSURE IS REQUIRED.
  
 GUARDS SHALL BE DESIGNED TO RESIST THE PASSAGE OF A
 4-INCH SPHERE UP TO A HEIGHT OF 34-INCHES.
  
 PROVIDE A HANDRAIL DETAIL. NOTE: HANDRAILS ARE REQUIRED
 ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STAIR. HANDRAILS SHALL BE LOCATED
 NOT LESS THAN 34 INCHES AND NOT MORE THAN 38 INCHES
 ABOVE THE SURFACE OF THE TREAD, MEASURED VERTICALLY TO
 THE TOP OF THE RAIL FROM THE LEADING EDGE OF THE TREAD.
 HANDRAIL ENDS SHALL BE RETURNED TO THE WALL OR FLOOR OR
 SHALL TERMINATE AT NEWEL POSTS. HANDRAIL CROSS SECTION
 SHALL HAVE A DIAMETER OF NOT LESS THAN 1.25 INCHES AND
 NOT MORE THAN 2 INCHES.
