 1. RESPOND TO COMMENTS IN WRITING.
  
 2. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-442(2)A: AT LEAST ONE SHADE,
 FLOWERING OR FRUIT TREE SHALL BE PLANTED FOR EACH 1,200
 SQUARE FEET OF OPEN SPACE OR PORTION THEREOF. THE
 LANDSCAPE PLANTING PLAN SHOWS A LIVE OAK (ST) THAT IS
 NOT ON THE PROPERTY AND CAN NOT BE COUNTED TOWARDS THE
 MINIMUM REQUIREMENT FOR THE ACTUAL SITE. IT CAN STILL
 BE SHOWN ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN, SINCE IT IS PART OF THE
 STREESCAPE LANDSCAPE PLAN FOR THAT SUBDIVISION.
 A MINIMUM OF SIX (6) TREES ARE REQUIRED, BUT ONLY TWO
 (2) CAN BE ACCOUNTED FOR AS A TREE:
  
 NF: MAGNOLIA AND NR: BALD CYPRESS TREES ARE THE ONLY
 TWO (2) TREES THAT CAN BE COUNTED TOWARDS THE MINIMUM
 TREE REQUIREMENT.
  
 THE CATTLEY GUAVA PLANT IS NOT A TREE, IT IS CONSIDERED
 A SHRUB, PURSUANT TO THE ZLDR, A TREE IS DEFINED AS
 FOLLOWS:
  
 SHADE TREE MEANS A HARDWOOD TREE THAT REACHES A MINIMUM
 HEIGHT OF 15 FEET AT MATURITY, A MINIMUM SPREAD OF AT
 LEAST 15 FEET AND PROVIDES RELIEF FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT
 FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS EACH YEAR.
  
 TREE MEANS AN ERECT STANDING WOOD PLANT HAVING AN
 AVERAGE MATURE CROWN OF GREATER THAN 20 FEET AND HAVING
 A TRUNK WHICH CAN BE MAINTAINED WITH AT LEAST SIX FEET
 OF CLEAR WOOD AT MATURITY.
  
 3. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-442 (C) SUBSTITUTION OF PALM
 TREES. PALM TREES MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR NOT MORE THAN
 35% OF THE SHADE OR FLOWERING TREES. HOWEVER, WHEN PALM
 TREES ARE SUBSTITUTED FOR SHADE TREES, TWO (2) PALM
 TREES SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR EACH REQUIRED SHADE TREE.
 THIS 2:1 SUBSTITUTION SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED FOR ROYAL
 PALM TREES AND SUCKERING PALM TREES SUCH AS THE ARECA
 PALM, PAUROTIS PALM AND THE SENEGAL DATE PALM.
  
 THE PLAN SHOWS ONE (1) FOX TAIL PALM, AT LEAST TWO (2)
 FOX TAILS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBSTITUTE ONE (1) TREE.
 BASED ON THE 35% ALLOWANCE, UP TO TWO (2) REQUIRED
 TREES CAN BE SUBSTITUTED BY PALM TREES, PURSUANT TO THE
 SECTION ABOVE.
  
 4. A2 CAT PALM IS A SHRUB NOT A PALM TREE/TREE. REVISE
 SITE DATA UNDER "PROVIDED" TREES TO OMIT AND THE GUAVA
 AND CAT PALMS AND ANY OTHER PLANTING THAT DOES NOT MEET
 THE TREE DEFINITION IN COMMENT NUMBER 2.
  
 PH, NG AND BS ARE CONSIDERED GROUND COVER, NOT SHRUBS:
 PURSUANT TO THE ZLDR DEFINITIONS SHRUBS AND GROUND
 COVER ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS (REVISE PLANS ACCORDINGLY,
 INCLUDING THE SHRUBS ACTUALLY PROVIDED THAT COMPLY WITH
 THE ZLDR):
  
 SHRUBS MEANS SELF-SUPPORTING, WOODY, EVERGREEN PLANTS
 SMALLER THAN A TREE AND USUALLY BRANCHING FROM OR NEAR
 THE GROUND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SUCH PLANT
 MATERIAL AS HIBISCUS ROSA-SINENSIS, LIGUSTRUM LUCIDUM,
 PODOCARPUS MACROPHYLLA, AND MURRAYA PANICULATA
  
 GROUND COVER MEANS LOW-GROWING OR LOW-MAINTENANCE
 LIVING PLANT MATERIAL OR INANIMATE MATERIAL OTHER THAN
 TURF GRASS, NORMALLY REACHING AN AVERAGE MAXIMUM HEIGHT
 OF NOT MORE THAN 24 INCHES AT MATURITY.
