 1) SPECIFY THE DESIGN CRITERIA ON THE PLANS. THE
 STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN AN EXPOSURE CATEGORY C WITH A
 140 MPH 3 SECOND GUST WINDSPEED.
  
 2) THE STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF THIS SCREEN PORCH ADDITION
 WILL REQUIRE A FLORIDA LICENSED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL.
 SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF SIGNED AND SEALED DRAWINGS WITH
 THE NAME AND LICENSE NUMBER OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE
 FOR THE DESIGN ON THE DRAWINGS. FS 471 AND 481.
  
 3) THE OWNER BUILDER AFFIDAVIT THAT WAS SUBMITTED IS
 FROM PALM BEACH COUNTY. PLEASE SUBMIT THE CITY OF WEST
 PALM BEACH OWNER BUILDER AFFIDAVIT WHICH IS AVAILABLE
 ON THE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES WEB SITE.
  
 4) THE SURVEY SHOWS BRICK PAVERS AT THE PROPOSED SCREEN
 PORCH ADDITION. PLEASE CLARIFY. THERE DOES NOT APPEAR
 TO BE ANY PERMITS TO REPLACE THE PAVERS WITH A CONCRETE
 SLAB.
  
 5) THE PLANS SPECIFY A ROOF SLOPE OF 1-1/2 : 12 WITH
 ASPHALT SHINGLES. FBC R 905.2.2 REQUIRES A MINIMUM
 SLOPE OF 2 : 12 OR GREATER FOR ASPHALT SHINGLES.
  
 6) FBC R 905.2.7 REQUIRES TWO LAYERS OF UNDERLAYMENT
 FOR ROOF SLOPES FROM 2 : 12 UP TO 4 : 12.
  
 7) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 ASPHALT SHINGLES AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9B-72.
  
 8) PROVIDE DETAILS FOR THE STUCCO KNEE WALLS AND GABLE
 END WALL. SPECIFY FRAMING, SHEATHING, WATER BARRIER AND
 LATH. NOTE: FBC R 703.6.3 REQUIRES A BOND BREAK BETWEEN
 THE STUCCO AND THE WATER RESISTIVE BARRIER WHEN APPLIED
 TO LATH OVER FRAME CONSTRUCTION.
  
 9) CLARIFY THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 4 X 8 COMPOSITE BEAM
 AND ITS ATTACHMENT TO THE EXISTING STRUCTURE AND THE 4
 X 4 POSTS ON THE PLANS.
  
 10) PROVIDE A FLASHING DETAIL FOR THE PORCH ROOF TO
 EXISTING WALL.
  
 11) THE VALUE OF THE WORK IS SPECIFIED AS $2500 ON THE
 APPLICATION.THIS AMOUNT IS TOO LOW. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES THE VALUATION IS REQUIRED BY FBC 108.3 TO BE
 THE TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE THE COSTS OF ALL
 MATERIALS, LABOR, DESIGN FEES, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT.
 BASED ON THE MARSHALL AND SWIFT VALUATION DATA THE
 VALUE OF THE STRUCTURE EXCLUDING THE EXISTING SLAB IS
 $6,874.00.
  
 12) A RECORDED COPY OF A NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT WILL BE
 REQUIRED BY THE FIRST INSPECTION.
  
 NOTE: THERE IS AN EXPIRED POOL AND DECK PERMIT FOR THIS
 PROPERTY THAT WAS ISSUED TO THE PREVIOUS OWNER AS AN
 OWNER BUILDER AND WAS NEVER FINALED. YOU WILL NEED TO
 ADDRESS THIS MATTER.
