 2. FIRE DAMPERS AT TENANT SEPARATION WALL ARE CALLED
 FOR IN NOTES BUT ARE NOT SHOWN ON FLOOR PLANS. THE
 SPECIFIC LOCATION OF EACH FIRE DAMPER SHALL BE SHOWN
 AND PROPERLY IDENTIFIED ON THE BUILDING PLANS BY THE
 DESIGNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-M 607.8.
  
 3. AHU 1 AND AHU 2 SHARE A COMMON RETURN AIR PLENUM.
 EACH UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH DUCT SMOKE DETECTORS
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-M 606.2.2. THE DUCT SMOKE
 DETECTORS SHALL BE CONNECTED TO THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM
 SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-M 606.4.1.
  
 4. OUTDOOR CONDENSING UNITS SHALL BE DESIGNED AND
 INSTALLED FOR WIND RESISTANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-M
 301.12. PROVIDE MANUFACTURER'S DATA FOR CONDENSERS
 SHOWING THESE APPLIANCES ARE DESIGNED FOR WIND
 RESISTANCE. PROVIDE MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS FOR WIND RESISTANT INSTALLATION IF
 APPLICABLE.
 NOTE: THE CONDENSER INSTALLATION DETAIL REFERENCES
 FBC-M 301.13.1, WHICH WAS A PRESCRIPTIVE METHOD OF
 INSTALLATION IN THE 2004 FBC FOR R-3 OCCUPANCIES ONLY.
 THIS PRESCRIPTIVE METHOD IS NOT APPLICABLE. AN
 ENGINEERED DESIGN IS REQUIRED. THE MANUFACTURER'S WIND
 CERTIFICATION MAY CONTAIN SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR A
 WIND RESISTANCE COMPLIANT INSTALLATION.
  
 5. THE VENTILATION CALCULATIONS CLASSIFY ALL AREAS
 SERVED BY THESE SYSTEMS AS "OFFICE." THIS IS NOT
 CORRECT. THESE VENTILATION SYSTEMS SHALL BE DESIGNED TO
 HAVE THE CAPACITY TO SUPPLY THE MINIMUM OUTDOOR AIRFLOW
 RATE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLE 403.3 BASED ON
 THE OCCUPANCY OF THE SPACE AND THE OCCUPANT LOAD. THE
 FLOOR PLAN SHOWS DIFFERENT AREAS WITH DIFFERENT
 VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS, SUCH AS (EXAMPLE) RETAIL.
 PROVIDE SPACE-BY-SPACE VENTILATION CALCULATIONS SHOWING
 THE CORRECT OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION, OCCUPANT LOAD AND
 VENTILATION RATE FOR EACH SPACE.
 NOTE: COOLING LOADS MAY ALSO BE AFFECTED BY INCREASED
 VENTILATION.
  
 6. NOTE ON PAGE M2.01 CALLS FOR MANUAL VOLUME DAMPER IN
 LIEU OF A MOTORIZED DAMPER ON THE OUTSIDE AIR INTAKES.
 ACCORDING TO FBC-B 13-409.AB.3.3, A GRAVITY OPERATED
 DAMPER MAY BE USED IN LIEU OF A MOTORIZED DAMPER IF THE
 INTAKE IS LESS THAN 300 CFM. IN ADDITION TO THE GRAVITY
 DAMPER, A MANUAL VOLUME DAMPER IS REQUIRED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-B 13-409.AB.1.1.
 NOTE: VENTILATION QUANTITIES MAY EXCEED 300 CFM ONCE
 VENTILATION RATES ARE RECALCULATED PER COMMENT ABOVE.
