 4 POSTS AND THEREFORE NOT SUPPORTED BY THE LEDGER OR
 JOISTS. SEE R403.1R403.1 GENERAL. ALL EXTERIOR WALLS
 SHALL BE SUPPORTED ON CONTINUOUS SOLID OR FULLY GROUTED
 MASONRY OR CONCRETE FOOTINGS, WOOD FOUNDATIONS, OR
 OTHER APPROVED STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS WHICH SHALL BE OF

 THE FOOTING WIDTH, W, SHALL BE BASED ON THE
 LOAD-BEARING VALUE OF THE SOIL IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLE

 9) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R408.1 VENTILATION. THE
 UNDER-FLOOR SPACE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOOR
 JOISTS AND THE EARTH UNDER ANY BUILDING (EXCEPT SPACE
 OCCUPIED BY A BASEMENT OR CELLAR) SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITH VENTILATION OPENINGS THROUGH FOUNDATION WALLS OR
 EXTERIOR WALLS. THE MINIMUM NET AREA OF VENTILATION
 OPENINGS SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 1 SQUARE FOOT FOR EACH
 150 SQUARE FEET (0.67 M2 FOR EACH 100 M2) OF
 UNDER-FLOOR SPACE AREA. ONE SUCH VENTILATING OPENING
 SHALL BE WITHIN 3 FEET (914 MM) OF EACH CORNER OF SAID
 BUILDING.
  
 10) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R408.3 ACCESS. ACCESS SHALL BE
 PROVIDED TO ALL UNDER-FLOOR SPACES. ACCESS OPENINGS
 THROUGH THE FLOOR SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 18 INCHES BY 24
 INCHES (457 MM BY 610 MM). OPENINGS THROUGH A PERIMETER
 WALL SHALL BE 16 INCHES BY 24 INCHES (407 MM BY 610
 MM). WHEN ANY PORTION OF THE THROUGH WALL ACCESS IS
 BELOW GRADE, AN AREAWAY OF NOT LESS THAN 16 INCHES BY
 24 INCHES (407 MM BY 610 MM) SHALL BE PROVIDED. THE
 BOTTOM OF THE AREAWAY SHALL BE BELOW THE THRESHOLD OF
 THE ACCESS OPENING. THROUGH WALL ACCESS OPENINGS SHALL
 NOT BE LOCATED UNDER A DOOR TO THE RESIDENCE.
  
 11) THE PLANS SPECIFY BALLOON FRAMING AT THE GABLE ENDS
 DUE TO THE CATHEDRAL CEILINGS. BALLOON FRAMING REQUIRES
 THE STUDS TO BE CONTINOUS FROM THE FLOOR TO THE ROOF.
 HOWEVER, THE GABLE END DETAIL"B" ON SHEET 2.2 SHOWS A
 DOUBLE TOP PLATE IN BETWEEN THE FLOOR AND ROOF. SEE
 FIGURE R602.2(1). PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 12) SECTION G-G ON 2.2 SHOWS A CATHEDRAL CEILING.
 INDICATED HOW THE LATERAL LOADS AT THE EXTERIOR WALLS
 ARE BEING ADDRESSED WITHOUT A CEILING DIAPHRAGM. R301.1
  
 13) AT THE SLOPED ROOF SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 806.1
 VENTILATION REQUIRED. ENCLOSED ATTICS AND ENCLOSED
