 UNDER A FICTITIOUS NAME, A CORPORATION, OR A
 PARTNERSHIP, OFFERING ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES, SHALL
 INCLUDE THE CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. ADD
 THE NUMBER TO EACH SHEET. THIS MAY BE ADDED BY HAND.
 PLEASE INCLUDE ON THE NEXT SUBMITTAL.
  
 3) THE CAST IRON PIPE THAT IS ILLUSTRATED ON SK-17 DOES
 NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH INFORMATION:
  
 3A) PROVIDE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE 2HR RATED SHAFT
 ENCLOSURE AND WALL TYPE ASSEMBLY. 707.4 SHAFT
 ENCLOSURES.
  
 3A) PLEASE PROVIDE THE LOCATION OF THE PIE AND
 ENCLOSURE IN EACH STAIRWAY ILLUSTRATING THAT THE CLEAR
 PATH OF THE STAIRWAY HAS NOT BEEN IMPEDED. THE CITY SET
 OF PLANS INDICATE THE STAAIRWAYS TO BE 4'-31/2" WIDE,
 1009.4 REQUIRES EVERY LANDING SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM
 DIMENSION MEASURED IN THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL EQUAL TO
 THE WIDTH OF THE STAIRWAY. PLEASE DEPICT AN ARC WITH A
 RADIUS EQUAL TO THE ACTUAL STAIRWAY WIDTH ALSO DEPICT
 THE NEW SHAFT WITHIN THE STAIRWELL AND NOT EMPEDING THE
 MEANS OF EGRESS. PLEASE PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION FOR
 EACH OF THE TWO STAIRWELLS.
  
 3B) PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HOW THE JOINT
 BETWEEN THE NEW SHAFTWALL AND EXISTING STAIRWELL WALL
 WILL BE SEALED.
 713.1 GENERAL. JOINTS INSTALLED IN OR BETWEEN
 FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED WALLS, FLOOR OR FLOOR/CEILING
 ASSEMBLIES AND ROOFS OR ROOF/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SHALL
 BE PROTECTED BY AN APPROVED FIRE-RESISTANT JOINT SYSTEM
 DESIGNED TO RESIST THE PASSAGE OF FIRE FOR A TIME
 PERIOD NOT LESS THAN THE REQUIRED FIRE-RESISTANCE
 RATING OF THE WALL, FLOOR OR ROOF IN OR BETWEEN WHICH
 IT IS INSTALLED. FIRE-RESISTANT JOINT SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 713.3. THE VOID
 CREATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF A FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLY
 AND AN EXTERIOR CURTAIN WALL ASSEMBLY SHALL BE
 PROTECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 713.4.
 713.2 INSTALLATION. FIRE-RESISTANT JOINT SYSTEMS SHALL
 BE SECURELY INSTALLED IN OR ON THE JOINT FOR ITS ENTIRE
 LENGTH SO AS NOT TO DISLODGE, LOOSEN OR OTHERWISE
 IMPAIR ITS ABILITY TO ACCOMMODATE EXPECTED BUILDING
 MOVEMENTS AND TO RESIST THE PASSAGE OF FIRE AND HOT
 GASES.
  
 3C) THE OTHER ISSUE WHICH I DO NOT SEE ADDRESSED IS THE
 ROOF DRAIN IS CENTERED WITHIN THE STAIRWAY, A DROPPED
 CEILING WOULD NEED TO CREATED A 2HR RATED ENCLOSURE TO
 KEEP THE CAST IRON PIPE OUT OF THE STAIRWELL. 019.1.2
 PENETRATIONS. PENETRATIONS INTO AND OPENINGS THROUGH AN
 EXIT ENCLOSURE ARE PROHIBITED EXCEPT FOR REQUIRED EXIT
 DOORS, EQUIPMENT AND DUCTWORK NECESSARY FOR INDEPENDENT
 PRESSURIZATION, SPRINKLER PIPING, STANDPIPES,
 ELECTRICAL RACEWAY FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATION
 AND ELECTRICAL RACEWAY SERVING THE EXIT ENCLOSURE AND
 TERMINATING AT A STEEL BOX NOT EXCEEDING 16 SQUARE
 INCHES (0.010 M2). SUCH PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 712. THERE SHALL BE NO
 PENETRATIONS OR COMMUNICATION OPENINGS, WHETHER
 PROTECTED OR NOT, BETWEEN ADJACENT EXIT ENCLOSURES.
