 1. A TITLE BLOCK FOR THE ENGINEER OF RECORD WITH
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED ON ALL SHEETS PER

 2. SHEET 3 FIRST FLOOR PLAN INDICATES A 40 GAL. LOW
 BOY WATER HEATER INSTALLED IN THE CORNER UNDER A
 KITCHEN CABINET. PER FBC-2004 PLUMBING SECTION 501.4
 LOCATION. WATER HEATERS AND STORAGE TANKS SHALL BE
 LOCATED AND CONNECTED SO AS TO PROVIDE ACCESS FOR
 OBSERVATION, MAINTENANCE, SERVICING AND REPLACEMENT.
 THE CODE DEFINES ACCESS AS BEING ABLE TO BE REACHED BUT
 FIRST MAY REQUIRE THE REMOVAL OF A PANEL, DOOR OR
 SIMILAR OBSTRUCTION. ACCESS TO A WATER HEATER IS NOT
 ACHIEVED IF IT IS NECESSARY TO REMOVE ANY PORTION OF
 THE STRUCTURE'S PERMANENT FINNISH MATERIALS SUCH AS THE
 CORNER OF THE CABINET. CLEARLY INDICATE HOW ACCESS TO
 THE WATER HEATER WILL BE ACHIEVED ON THE RESUBMITTAL.
 IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE WATER HEATER BE MOVED TO THE
 A/C CLOSET WITH THE A/C PLACED ON A STAND AND THE WATER
 HEATER BE INSTALLED UNDER THE A/C UNIT.
