 EXPLORATORY/SELECTIVE DEMOLITION AND
 REPAIR OF 3-STORY APARTMENT BUILDING AS
 PER SUBMITTED ENGINEERING
 PLANS/CALCULATIONS.
  
 PLAN REVIEW NOTES:
  
 1)THE PROPOSED WORK/REPAIRS SHALL NOT
 MAKE THE BUILDING LESS CONFORMING TO THE
 BUILDING,MEP'S OR THE FIRE CODES OF THE
 JURISDICTION, OR TO ALTERNATIVE
 MATERIALS,DESIGN AND METHODS OF
 CONSTRUCTION, OR ANY PREVIOUSLY APPROVED
 PLANS, MODIFICATIONS,ALTERNATIVE METHODS
 OR COMPLIANCE ALTERNATIVES, THAN IT WAS
 BEFORE THE REPAIR WAS UNDERTAKEN AS PER
 THE FLORIDA EXISTING BUILDING CODE,
 SECTION 401.3.
  
 2)407.3: DAMAGED BUILDINGS
 SHALL BE REPAIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THIS SECTION.
 407.3.1: NEW STRUCTURAL FRAME MEMBERS
 USED IN THE REPAIR OF DAMAGED BUILDINGS,
 INCLUDING ANCHORAGE AND CONNECTIONS,
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE,BUILDING.
  
 3)407.3.2.1.1:EXTENT OF REPAIR. AFTER
 THE BUILDING IS REPAIRED THE EVALUATION
 AND ANALYSIS SHALL DEMONSTRATE THAT THE
 BUILDING ONCE REPAIRED, COMPLIES WITH
 THE WIND PROVISIONS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 4)OTHER UNCOVERED STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS.
 WHERE IN THE COURSE OF CONDUCTING
 REOAIRS OTHER UNCOVERED STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS ARE FOUND TO BE UNSOUND OR
 OTHERWISE STRUCTURALLY DEFICIENT, SUCH
 ELEMENTS SHALL BE MADE TO CONFORM TO THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 407.3.2.1.1.
  
 5)SUBMIT A LIFE SAFETY/SAFEGUARDS DURING
 CONSTRUCTION PLAN:FBC,EXISTING 1303.1.
  
 CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
 SHALL BE STORED AND PLACED SO AS NOT TO
 ENDANGER THE PUBLIC FOT THE DURATION OF
 THE PROJECT AS PER FBC,EXISTING SECTION
 1301.2.
 PROVIDE PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION AS PER FBC
 1303.2
 1310.2 MAINTENANCE OF EXITS. REQUIRED
 MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT
 ALL TIMES DURING
 CONSTRUCTION,DEMOLITION,REMODELING OR
 ALTERATIONS AND ADDTIONS TO ANY
 BUILDING.
  
 PROVISO:
  
 1)REQUIRE CLARIFICATION OF THE
 FOLLOWING:
  
 A)INDICATE TWISTED STRAP TYPE
 TO BE UTILIZED;SEE SHEET 3,DETAIL
 S-2.
  
 B)MECHANICAL ATTACHMENT OF THE 2X
 BASE PLATE TO EXISTING CONCRETE
 SLAB:SEE DETAIL 2/S-2.
  
 C)PLAN INDICATES R-19 AND R-11 BATT
 INSULATION WITHIN THE FRAMED WALLS.
