 STANDPIPES, AND ELECTRICAL CONDUIT SERV-
 ING THE STAIRWAY AND TERMINATING AT A
 STEEL BOX NOT EXCEEDING 16 SQ IN.SUCH
 PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH 705.4. THERE SHALL BE NO
 PENETRATIONS OR COMMUNICATING OPENINGS,
 WETHER PROTECTED OR NOT, BETWEEN ADJA-
 CENT STAIRWAYS.
