 SAME AS SHEET 1. HOW WILL PICKETS SHOWN
 ON SHEET 1 BE ATTACHED TO RAILS?
  
 3) SPECIFY THE TYPE OF 1/4"X 3" ANCHORS
 THAT WILL BE USED. TAPCONS?
  
 4) INDICATE HOW THE TOP RAIL OF THE
 GUARDRAIL WILL ATTACH TO WALL OF THE
 STRUCTURE AND TO THE 402 COLUMN. SPECIFY
 NUMBER AND TYPE OF FASTENERS.
  
 5) IN ADDITION TO WINDLOADS, GUARDRAILS
 MUST BE CAPABLE OF WITHSTANDING LOADS
 APPLIED TO THE TOP OF THE GUARDRAIL AND
 A CONCENTRATED HORIZONTAL LOAD AT ANY
 POINT IN THE GUARDRAIL SYSTEM INCLUDING
 INTERMEDIATE RAILS. SEE 2001 FBC SECT.
 1608.2.2.1 AND 1608.2.2.3 INDICATE THE
 LOADS THE GUARDRAIL IS CAPABLE OF
 WITHSTANDING ON THE DRAWINGS.

 GUARDRAILS.
  
 1) INDICATE THE HEIGHT OF THE GUARDRAIL
 ON THE DRAWINGS. THE MINIMUM REQUIRED
 HEIGHT IS 42". SEE FBC SEC.1015.2.
  
 2) INDICATE THE ATTACHMENT AND FASTENERS
 THAT WILL BE USED. FBC SEC. 1015.4
  
 3) INDICATE ON THE DRAWINGS THE LOADS
 THAT THE GUARDRAIL SYSTEM IS CAPABLE OF
 RESISTING. SEE FBC SEC 1608.2.2.
  
 4) IN ADDITION TO THE ORNAMENTAL PATTERN
 THAT RESISTS THE PASSAGE OF A 4-INCH
 DIAMETER SPHERE A BOTTOM RAIL OR CURB IS
 REQUIRED THAT WILL REJECT THE PASSAGE OF
 A 2-INCH DIAMETER SPHERE. PLEASE
 INDICATE THIS ON THE PLANS.
