MR. BERNADINO WAS QUITE AGITATED THROUGHOUT THE CONVERSATION, FREQUENTLY POUNDING HIS HAND ON THE DESKTOP. MR. RILL DID MOST OF THE SPEAKING AND REQUESTED THE CASE BE COMPLIED SO THEY CAN CLOSE ON THE PROPERTY AND THE NEW OWNER WILL TAKE CARE OF THE VIOLATIONS. I EXPLAINED TO HIM SEVERAL TIMES THAT THE CITY CODE DOES NOT ALLOW FOR THAT ONLY ABATING THE VIOLATIONS CAN STOP THE FINES FROM RUNNING. HE ALSO ASKED ABOUT BOARDING THE BROKEN WINDOW AND I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THE MAGISTRATE ORDERED IT BE FIXED AND AS IT WAS BOARDED AT THE TIME OF THE ORDER OVER THREE YEARS AGO, A BOARDING CERTIFICATE COULD NOT BE OBTAINED. HE ALSO ASKED ABOUT A LIEN REDUCTION AND WAS ADVISED THAT WITHOUT COMPLICATIONS IT CAN STILL TAKE UP TO THREE MONTHS. HE STATED THEY HAD A COURT ORDER TO CLOSE ON THE PROPERTY AND I REFERRED HIM TO ARLENE FRANCONERO IN THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT AS SHE COULD DETERMINE IF THERE WASD A LEGAL REQUIREMENT FROM THAT ORDER FOR THE CITY TO COMPLY THE CASE. HE WAS GIVEN HER CNTACT INFORMATION AND A LIEN REDUCTION APPLICATION. DURING THE CONVERSTAION THE OWNER SAID HE CAN SHOW US GOOGLE EARTH PICTURES SHOWING HE HAD GROWN GRASS OVER THE BARE AREAS AND IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLIED. THEY WERE ADVISED THE FINE WOULD STILL RUN FOR THE WINDOW ISSUE EVEN IF THAT WERE THE CASE. AFTER THE CONVERSATION I CHECKED THE PROPERTY PICTURES ON GOOGLE'S WEBSITE AND FOUND NO PICTURES SHOWING COMPLIANCE OF THE SOD REQUIREMENTS IN THE MAGISTRATE'S ORDER. I THEN EMAILED THE REAL ESTATE AGENT OUTLINING WHAT WAS DISCUSSED AS WELL THE LIEN REDUCTION REQUIREMENTS AND WHAT I FOUND ON THE GOOGLE WEBSITE.
