 AS OF 6/4/18 THE FOLLOWING LIST OF COMMENTS FROM THE
 3RD REVIEW WERE NOT ADDRESSED, HOWEVER DUE TO THE
 URGENT NEED TO HAVE THE PERMIT ISSUED, THE CURRENT
 MECHANICAL PLANS AND DOCUMENTS ARE APPROVED WITH
 EXCEPTION, AND THE REMAINING COMMENTS LISTED BELOW ARE
 DEEMED TO BE PROVISOS TO BE ADDRESSED BY THE DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

 PLAN REVIEW RESULTS: DENIED.
  
 THE THIRD REVIEW OF THE PLANS IS BASED ON THE
 RESUBMITTED PLANS AND DOCUMENTS, AND THE RESPONSES BY
 THE ARCHITECT OF RECORD. COMMENTS FROM THE PREVIOUS
 REVIEWS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED, OR PARTIALLY
 STILL EXIST WILL BE REITERATED BELOW.
  
 1) THE REVISED AC CALCULATIONS ARE NOT ELECTRONICALLY
 SIGNED AND SEALED BY THE EOR AS PREVIOUSLY REQUESTED.
  
 2) COMMISSIONING OF THE COMMON AREA AC SYSTEMS IS
 REQUIRED PER SECTION C.408.2 EXCEPTION #1 FBC-EC. THE
 TOTAL BTUH'S OF THE O/A UNIT, THE MINI SPLIT SYSTEMS,
 THE COMMON AREA UNITS, THE OLIVE RETAIL SPACE, AND THE
 BANYAN RETAIL SPACE= 2,699,303 BTUH WHICH FAR EXCEEDS
 THE 480,000 BTUH THRESHOLD FOR COOLING. THE ARCHITECT'S
 RESPONSE NARRATIVE INCORRECTLY INDICATES THE
 THRESHOLD TO BE AT 400 TONS (4,800,000 BTUH), HOWEVER
 PER THE CODE SECTION IT IS 40 TONS (480,000 BTUH).
 PLEASE PROVIDE A COMMISSIONING PLAN AS PREVIOUSLY
 REQUESTED.
  
 8 & 17) THE COMMENT REQUIRING POSITIVE PRESSURIZATION
 AND VENTILATION OF THE ELEVATOR LOBBIES IN THE PARKING
 GARAGES IS IN DISPUTE BY THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OF
 RECORD. THIS MATTER WILL BE REFERRED TO THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL FOR REVIEW.
  
 9) DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE ARE DOOR OPENINGS INTO
 THE EXIT PASSAGEWAYS USED TO EXTEND STAIRS #1, 2, & 3
 TO THE EXIT DISCHARGE OR PUBLIC WAY, SECTION 1022.10.1
 EXCEPTION 1 REQUIRES THE EXIT PASSAGEWAY TO BE
 PRESSURIZED IN THE SAME MANNER AS THE PRESSURIZED
 STAIRWAY. THE ADDITIONAL NOTE ON SHEET M5.03 ABOUT THE
 EXIT PASSAGEWAY PRESSURIZATION MUST BE MODIFIED TO
 PROVIDE THE REQUIRED PRESSURIZATION PARAMETERS OF 0.10
 IN. WG TO MAXIMUM 0.35 IN. WG. THIS MODIFICATION ALSO
 APPLIES TO THE NEW NOTE ON PAGE 7 OF THE SLS SMOKE
 CONTROL RATIONAL ANALYSIS REPORT. THE TERM "EXIT
 CORRIDOR" USED IN THE ANALYSIS IS INCORRECT, AND SHOULD
 BE REVISED TO READ "EXIT PASSAGEWAY". PLEASE NOTE THAT
 FIELD TESTING MUST VERIFY THAT THE PRESSURIZATIONS IN
 THE PASSAGEWAYS ARE EQUIVALENT TO THE STAIRWAYS.
  
 14) SHEET M1.2.1A: PLEASE MODIFY THE GENERATOR EXHAUST
 DISCHARGE NOTE TO INCLUDE THE REQUIRED 10' CLEARANCE TO
 PROPERTY LINES, OPERABLE OPENINGS, AND TO GRADE.
  
 15) M4.01, M4.02: STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING REQUIRED FOR
 ATTACHING THE AC AND INLINE FAN SUPPORTS TO THE SLAB
 WILL BE A DEFERRED SUBMITTAL. THE ENGINEERING SHALL BE
 PROVIDED PRIOR TO INSPECTION, AND BE ONSITE AT TIME OF
 INSPECTION.
  
 22) COMMENT #44 STILL EXISTS. WIND LOAD ENGINEERING FOR
 INSTALLATION OF THE EXTERIOR BARBECUE NOT PROVIDED BUT
 MAY BE A DEFERRED SUBMITTAL. THE SUBMITTED CUT SHEET
 FOR THE BARBECUE DOES NOT INDICATE THE APPLIANCE HAS
 BEEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ANSI STANDARDS
 LISTED UNDER SECTION 623.1 FBC-14 FUEL GAS.
  
 24) COMMENT STILL EXISTS. THE NARRATIVE INDICATES THE
 FIRESTOPPING DETAIL FOR THE REFRIGERANT PIPING TO BE ON
 M.5.0.2, HOWEVER M5.02 IS A CONTROL PAGE AND THE DETAIL
 IS NOT SHOWN THERE.

 1) ADVISORY: TO AVOID A CONFLICT IN THE FIELD, PLEASE
 REVIEW PLANS AND PROVIDE DUCT SMOKE DETECTORS IN THE
 RETURN SYSTEMS OF ANY AC SYSTEMS IN THE APARTMENTS OR
 IN THE COMMON AREAS WITH MINIMUM 5-TON CAPACITIES.
  
 2) SHEET M.401: PROVIDE A NOTE IN THE SCHEDULE TO
 INDICATE THAT ANY SMOKE CONTROL FANS THAT ARE
 BELT-DRIVEN SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH A MINIMUM OF TWO
 BELTS- SECTION 513.10.5. THIS WOULD INCLUDE BOTH
 PRESSURIZATION AND EXHAUST FANS.

 WHEN RESUBMITTING, IT IS HELPFUL TO PROVIDE A RESPONSE
 LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE CITY
 RE-SUBMITTAL FORM. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE INSERT
 CORRECTED PLAN SHEETS INTO THE SETS, REMOVE THE
 PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED SHEETS AND MARK VOID ON THEM, AND
 KEEP THEM WITH THE SUBMITTALS
